Beltangady: Ujire deputy range forest officer, Keerthan Shetty, who was alleged to have mercilessly assaulted Kamaldas from Puduvettu , has been transferred to Puttur.

Belthangady MLA K Vasanth Bangera was under constant pressure from the people of his constituency to punish the forest officer who accused of launching a murderous assault on Kamaldas accusing him of stealing wood from forest although he lives beyond the officer's jurisdiction.
