Undertrail dies in prison due to heart attack

Mangaluru: Babu, from Hosmar Edu village, died of heart attack on Tuesday September 13 inside the district prison. He was an under-trial prisoner.

Babu used to suffer from bouts of ill health and he had been admitted into hospital several times in the past for treatment. On Tuesday too he had complained of uneasiness and was taken to district Wenlock Hospital. The doctors who checked him confirmed that he had already breathed his last due to heart attack.

Babu had been accused in a murder case which happened within the limits of Moodbidri police station.
