VOTERS VERIFICATION DRIVE LAUNCHED AT ST.AGNES COLLEGE Autonomous

The National Voters Service Portal was developed by the Election Commission of India, with an aim to provide simple window service electors. In accordance to it the district election commission and the Joint Director of collegiate Education have launched the electoral verification drive .Teaching and non teaching faculty educational institutions are required to login to NVSP and verify their respective names in the electoral list.

Joining this drive the Electoral Literacy Club of the college organised a training programme to facilitate the faculty members to get hands on experience on NVSP. Mr. Satish, HOD of Electronics and communication, Karnataka Polytechnic, Mangalore and Mr. Dayanand, Lecturer, Department of E&E, KPT were the resource persons, provided valuable inputs and hands on experience on NVSP. They briefed on NVSP Portal, where a user can avail and access various services such as access to electoral list, apply for voters ID card, apply online for the corrections in the voters’ card, view details of polling booth, assembly constituency and parliamentary constituency and can also get the contact details of Booth Level officers.

Vice Principal of the College Sr Dr M Venissa A.C was present on the occasion. Mrs Meera, HOD of History and Nodal officer of Electoral Literacy Club organised the programme. Mrs Asha Albuquerque proposed the Vote of thanks.
