Vanamahotsava held at St. Aloysius institute of management and Information technology

Mangaluru: St. Aloysius institute of management and Information technology, Beeri had an issue of garbage disposal box near the gate. The action was taken towards this issue on 26th of July, the saplings were planted on the occasion of Vanamahotsava.

Program began at 14:30near the entrance of AIMIT,Beeri. The ceremony was presided over by the following guests. President of Kotekar Panchayat - Sri Uday Kumar, Junior Engineer -Smt Renuka, Member of Kotekar Pattana Panchayat – Sri Rohit and Sri Hameed. Father Denzil Lobo SJ - Director of AIMIT, Prof Santosh Rebello – Dean of Department of Information technology and bioinformatics, along with the Student coordinator of MAGIS eco drive, Kevin Sequeira, AIMIT,Beeri were the honorable guest present on the dias .

The ceremony was guided by MC Mr Pranam and Ms Supaksha. The member of Pattana Panchayat, Sri Hameed thanked the students for taking the initiative to keep the surrounding environment clean. He quoted the great environmentalist and the social worker Salumarada Thimakka and asked the students to follow in her footsteps.

Fr Denzil Lobo SJ, Director of AIMIT, Beeri motivated the students by saying that they should begin by cleaning their room, then by cleaning their surrounding which automatically cleans the society because the cleaning begins from within.

The vote of thanks was delivered by student coordinator, Kevin Sequiera. Then all the students carried the saplings towards the location and planted it as a symbol of Vanamahostsava.
