Dharmastala: Sri Kshetra Dharmastala dharmadhikari D Veerendra Heggade asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to launch ’Sharab Mukt Bharat’ campaign in the country. Heggade made this request to the Prime Minister through Union minister of state (Independent Charge) for Ayush Shripad Yesso Naik at Dharmastala on October 1, Saturday.

Heggade said, "The Swachh Bharat and other campaigns launched by the Prime Minister has evoked tremendous response in the country. It is not against liquor lobby or any others. We are putting efforts to create awareness among people on ill effects of alcoholism."

"I am sure that alcohol addicts will voluntarily kick the habit if our Prime Minister announces a ’Swachh Jeevan’ campaign to make India ’Sharab Mukt’ and thereby make people live more happily," he added.
