Vikas PU College toppers add new feathers in its academic cap

Mangaluru : Vikas PU College has seen its mission of inspiring students to bring out the best, come to fruition. As another academic year winds up, the fortress of education celebrates the new feathers in its cap with students who have done academically well.

Of the 341 of its students who appeared for the PUC-II exams, 108 students obtained a distinction and 211 students secured first class, bringing the percentage of students who secured above first class to an outstanding 93%.

    

   

The overall pass percentage is at a stupendous 97.65%. In a further breakup of the two disciplines, the college has reckoned a 100% pass percentage among commerce students and a 97% pass percentage among science students.

26 students have a record of 100/100 in their subjects.

Among the college toppers in Science are - Shalini BM, securing a 583/600 a cent with a 100% result in Physics and Maths; Shravya KJ holding a 580/600 score with 100% in Physics and a 99% in Biology; Yuktha C having a score of 580/600 with a 99% score in Sanskrit, 99% in Maths, and 100% in Computers; Aishywarya B has secured a 578/100 with 99 in Maths and 99 in Biology; Hamsini A scored a 572/600 mark and has a 100% score in Biology.

Souhardh Shetty is the college topper in commerce with a 571/600 overall score and a 100% marks in Business studies, Accounts and Stats each.
