Woman dies after getting knocked by truck

Udupi: Sirajunnisa, who was crossing the road near Kaup on national highway 66 was hit by a truck passing by at that time. She was seriously injured, and breathed her last when being taken to hospital.

Sirajunnisa was to participate in a marriage ceremony held on Saturday at Halima Sabju auditorium near Udyavar. She was crossing the road when she was crushed by the container truck that was moving towards Mangaluru.

She was thrown to the ground at great force and suffered multiple injuries. She died when being taken to hospital. Kaup police have registered a case.
