Workshop on “Basic Computer Apps” at SPC Puttur

Puttur : Don’t be the slaves of gadgets, instead be the masters of gadgets, said Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Montero, Chairman of PG studies, St Philomena College Puttur after inaugurating a one day workshop on “Basic Computer Apps” on 9th September, 2015. The workshop was for the Students of 2nd year HEPS, St Philomena Pre-University College and was organized by the PG Department of Computer Science.

 

He added, due to global changing scenario of the usage of gadgets, there is a dire need to not only enhance the skills of knowledge on the usage of gadgets, but to prepare themselves to move according to the pace of societal needs.

Prof. Govindha Prakash, HOD of Computer Science Department, Prof. Bharath Kumar Lecture of Political Science, faculty members of Computer Science department were present on this occasion.

The students of 1st year MSc Computer Science, Ms. Preethi Prabhu welcomed the gathering, Mr. Abhilash Kamath proposed vote of thanks and Ms. Pavana Kumari compered the programme.

The technical sessions were held with the subtheme “Introduction to Ubuntu Operating System” and “LibreOffice Applications” in the computer lab.
