Mangaluru: World Alzheimer’s Month programme was held at Town Hall on September 21 Wednesday. The programme was organized by People’s Association for Geriatric Empowerment (PAGE).

Speaking about it, Palemar said, “Doctors say there is no cure for this disease but love and affection towards elders is the only medicine to cure this disease. Most people are unaware about Alzheimer’s disease and a strong message need to be spread among people about this disease."

“Today teenagers are more inclined towards westernization and the Maggi concept due to which present generation avoids participating in public programmes. Teenagers are squashed up with the westernization culture that they disregard the importance of culture and traditions. Children and young people fail to build and maintain high quality relationships with elderly, he added.
