YIT signs MoU with Red Hat Academy

Moodbidri: Yenepoya Institute of Technology (YIT) has initiated an academic membership with Red Hat Academy. As a prelude to this academic initiation, an extension lecture session on open source technology was organized.

Moses G, COSS manager, and Harpreet Singh, Red Hat certified trainer from complete open source solutions(COSS) India Pvt Ltd, was the resource person for the programme and they spoke about the different Red Hat certification programmes and their benefits to the professional currier of the students.

The programme was presided by the principal Dr R G D’Souza and he explained the importance of certification programmes in his speech. Kevin Joy D’Souza, assistant professor from the department of Computer Science & Engineering, compered the programme and proposed the vote of thanks.

Under the academic alliance, Red Hat will set up a state of art lab which will provide training and certification to the students in various domains of open source technology.
