Yakshagana Bhagavatha Patla Sathish Shetty conferred with Kundeshwar Samman

Karkala: Renowned Yakshagana Bhagavatha Patla Sathish Shetty received the Kundeshwar Samman at a function held here recently.

Harinararyanadasa Asranna presented the Award to the artiste. Speaking after receiving the Award, Satish Shetty said the award and recognition conferred on him has increased the responsibilities on his shoulder to perform still better. He also stated that Kateel Goddess Durgaparameshwari was his inspiration.

Jithendra Kundeshwara who organised the event, spoke on the social service initiatives of Patla Sathish Shetty through his Yaksha Dhruva Foundation.

The awardee Patla Satish Shetty has been serving Kateel Mela since 12 years. A Yakshagana Thalamaddale led by Satish Shetty and a play Mooru Suttu by Kullappu team of Kundapur enthralled the gathering.
