Yesudas mesmerizes gathering with his divine singing at Kollur shrine

Kollur: Renowned singer Dr K J Yesudas who celebrated his 77th birthday by offering a Chandika Homa to the Goddess at the Kollur Sri Mookambika Temple on Tuesday, later mesmerized the gathering with his divine singing. The singer had arrived at the pilgrim town along with his wife Prabha and sons Vijaya and Vinod Yesudas.

A great devotee of Goddess Mookambika, Yesudas has made it a practice to celebrate his birthday at the Kollur shrine since the past 35 years. Yesudas presented classical and devotional songs recital at the Swarnamukhi auditorium of the shrine much to the delight of the gathering. The musical programme was held throughout the day under the leadership of Kanhangad Ramachandran.

Yesudas said music was his breath and that he would continue singing till his last breath. He also attributed his achievements in the musical field to the blessings of Goddess Mookambika.
