Youth dies after sustaining serious injuries during Mosaru Kudike

Bantwal: A youth who had fallen down on the road and sustained serious injuries to his head during Mosaru Kudike festival competition on Sunday, died without responding to medical treatment on Monday, August 29. The deceased has been identified as Pilatabettu grama Daikinakatte resident Shishir (22).

Shishir had climbed human pyramid and after holding the rope at the top had broken several pots. He slipped and fell down on the road when he was about to break the last pot. Other members tried to prevent his fall but he had fallen by then and seriously injured his head.

He was immediately rushed to private hospital in Mangaluru but he died without responding to treatment after a day.

Shishir was a talented artiste and had excelled in the art of mimicry since his childhood. He had secured first prize in mimicry in state level competition.
Shishir was the elder son of printing press employee P M Prabhakar and was expected to be the pillar in the family. He had started working in Bengaluru six months ago after passing B Com. He had returned home only on Sunday morning.
