Kundapur, Sep 14: Youth Convention of Bharatiya Yuva Sanchalana Kundapur Deanery Level (ICYM) was held at the Mellenium Auditorium of Trasi Church in association with ICYM Trasi Unit and ICYM.

Most Rev. Bishop Dr.Jerald Isac Lobo, the Bishop of Udupi Diocese presided over the programme. He said, “The purpose of this youth unit is to take active participation in the society and to help the youth to build a better future for themselves”

Parish priest of Trasi Church Rev Fr Carles Lewis was the chief guest in the programme and he said, “The youth should instill leadership qualities so as to attain higher positions in the society”.

Rev Fr Richard, priest of Mangalore Canara Communication gave information about the bad effects of Social Media Network on the youth.

Games and cultural programmes were held. Closing ceremony was held in the presidentship of Rev Fr Anil Dsouza the Dean of Kundapur Deanery. He admired the young men for doing good works for the betterment of the society. Rev Fr Charles Menezes the director of international Y C S and young achievers were felicitated.

Chief guest Rev Fr Albert Crasta, Rev Fr Mario Joseph – the director of Karnataka Regional ICYM, rev Fr Edwin Dsouza-the director of Udupi Diocese ICYM addressed the gathering.

Rev Fr Paul Prakash Dsouza the director of ICYM Kundapur Deanery gave thanks to the organizers of this convention.
