On the 22nd of November, 2020 at 5:00 PM Yuva Spandan Derebail (YSD/ICYM Derebail Unit) on the occasion of its Decennial year organised Fresher’s Party and Potluck at Derebail Church meeting hall.

Rev. Fr Austin Peter Peres - Parish Priest and Director of YSD/ICYM Derebail Unit, Rev. Fr Gerald Francis Pinto - Residential Priest, Rev. Fr Ashwin Lohith Cardoza - ICYM Director of Mangalore Diocese, YSD Animators - Mrs Lizzy Fernandes and Mr Jeethan Castelino, Mr Michael D'silva and 49 YSD members were present for the program.

The program began with a short prayer led by Mr Preston Sequeira. Animator Mr Jeethan Castelino welcomed the gathering. Ms Preemal Serrao presented a detailed report of programmes and meetings conducted earlier. YSD President Mr Prajwal Sequeira addressed the gathering and spoke about the events that YSD will be organising in the days to come. He also congratulated the YSD core committee members for putting up this programme in a short notice and thanked all the YSD members for preparing delicious food items.

Rev Fr Gerald Francis Pinto then delivered his short message. ICYM Director Rev Fr Ashwin Lohith Cardoza while addressing congratulated all the YSD/ICYM Derebail youth for planning such a wonderful programme and mentioned that maximum number of youth that served the Mangalore Diocese in various fields were from Derebail Parish. Mr Michael D'silva in his message encouraged the youth to take part in all the Church activities. Rev. Fr Austin Peres in his message said that he is indeed lucky to see so many youth in Derebail Parish helping out in the church activities.

As soon as the formal programme got over, cake cutting ceremony of all the YSD youth whose birthdays are in the month of November took place. The refreshments prepared by YSD members were then served. Fun and exciting games were conducted by Mr Sheldon Alvares.

Sandwich, Cutlets, French fries, Chicken kebab, Raja special, Fruits salad and Halwa were prepared by YSD members who were divided in groups earlier. Mr Kevin Suvares compered the entire programme.
