Mumbai-based model and actress Arshi Khan suffered another major setback on Wednesday morning as she was travelling to Mumbai from Kolkata. As the feisty model alighted at Mumbai airport, she was made to wait for an hour for her baggage, only to be told by the airport staff that the aircraft had taken off to Singapore with her baggage on board due to human error.

Arshi Khan was scheduled to shoot for her music video titled BOOM BOOM dedicated to Shahid Afridi, and all her garments, costumes, jewelry and other artiste props were in her large suitcase which was checked in as "check in baggage". Arshi was flying via Air India from Kolkata to Mumbai. The flight was an international one with the aircraft flying via Mumbai to Singapore. While Arshi alighted at Mumbai, the aircraft took off to Singapore. Arshi waited for almost one hour for her luggage and after an hour was told by the ground staff that the aircraft had taken off with her luggage on board. Her luggage went to Singapore and Arshi was told that it would be returned to her only after 72 hours.

Says Arshi Khan:

"We were supposed to shoot my music video (dedicated to Afridi) on Thursday. However, all my costumes, luggage, jewelry, etc were erroneously sent to Singapore by Air India, while I got off at Mumbai.

Air India/Indian Airlines has issued Arshi Khan a lost baggage receipt and are tracking the luggage. A spokesperson for the airline regretted the error and apologized for the goof up. However, Arshi Khan is not ready to accept an apology. I have lost a lot of money due to the airline's mistake. How can they just send such a huge piece of baggage to Singapore, when the passenger alights at Mumbai? she fumed.

Meanwhile in a double whammy for the firebrand actress, a second fatwa was reportedly issued in Pakistan against Arshi Khan today for publicly stating that she would break the security cordon around the Pakistani players and kiss Afridi in public. Arshi Khan has also gone on record and given interviews to Tv channels in India and Pakistan stating that she is three months pregnant with Afridi’s baby and will go ahead with the delivery.

A Maulana from a small district close to Lahore has reportedly issued the fatwa on Wednesday morning during the early morning Namaz (prayers) and stated that all Muslims in India and Pakistan must teach Arshi Khan a good lesson. The religious leader also chided Afridi for not speaking out in the matter. “His silence means that he has accepted all her allegations,’ the Maulana said during a religious discourse, as reported by Pakistani online media and Tv.

Earlier in November last year a fatwa was issued against Arshi Khan for posting on social networking site Twitter that she had a physical relationship with Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi. Arshi expressed her “disappointment” at the development, according to a Zee News report.

In September, Arshi had posted on Twitter, saying:” Yes, I had sex with Afridi! Do I need the Indian media’s permission to sleep with someone? It’s my personal life. For me it was love.”

Reportedly the fatwa was issued by a section of the Pakistan clergy.
