Aug 11: Atlast Darshan has found his match in his much expected comedy film 'Jaggu Dada'. The Raghavendra Hegade directorial film will go on floors from August 19. Deeksha Seth has been roped in to play the elad.
Deeksha has already acted in Tollywood and Bollywood. She has acted in Allu Arjun's Vedam'. In Bollywoood, she made a much hyped debut opposite Armaan Jain in 'Kekar Hum Deewana Dil'. However the film was a disaster.
The makers of 'Jaddu Dada' had approached Anushka Shetty and Tamannah for the lead. However due to dates clash, they did sign the film. Raghavendra found Deeksha perfect for the role. She is also very tall and will suit Darshan.
'Jaddu Dada' had a grand launch on Darshan birthday this year. However the film's shooting is yet to start. Darshan has finished shooting for his much expected 'Airavatha'.
'Jaddu Dada' is a comedy venture. This is the first time Darshan is working in a comedy film. Darshan has never been seen in a full fledged comedy role. However his comic antics in 'Datta' and 'Bulbul' have been liked by audiences.
The film has a huge starcast. Urvashi, Ravishankar, Bullet Prakash and Sharath Lohithashwa will also be seen in pivotal roles. V Harikrishna will compose two songs in the film. The film is expected to hit screens early next year.
