Actress Elli Avram, who shares her birthday with the occasion of International Tiger Day on 29 July, lent her support to the cause of saving tigers from cruelty, the prime theme of upcoming film 'Mission Tiger', also releasing on the same day.

On the sidelines of the photoshoot for the magazine Madame, Elli was asked about sharing her birthday with International Tiger's Day. She said, "That's amazing because I'm also a tigress."

Upcoming film 'Mission Tiger', starring Vijay Raaz, talks about the menace of tiger poaching and creating awareness about the issue. The makers' interest in highlighting the issue is one of the reasons why they decided on releasing the film on the occasion of International Tiger Day.

About 'Mission Tiger' and the cause of saving tigers, Elli said, "I think that's very good because it is very important regarding all the animals around the world. We really have to take care of animals and not keep killing the animals because it is really important for our entire ecosystem. So I think that's great."

'Mission Tiger' directed by Dipu Karunakaran, is jointly produced by Saju Fortune and Leegesh S.L. under the banner Fortune Cinemas.
