“Kalaa Spandan National Art Festival - 2016”

Kalaa Spandan National Art Festival – 2016 was inaugurated by renowned Film Actor Mukesh Rishi on 17th Nov, 2016. at Nehru Centre, Worli, Mumbai in presence of several artists, guests & dignitaries. Indian Art Promoter will present Kalaa Spandan National Art festival in Nehru Centre, Ground Floor Hall, Dr. A. B. Road, Worli, Mumbai from 17th to 20th Nov, 2016 between 11am to 7pm. This is the second edition of the Indian art promoter in Mumbai. Its forthcoming event in April, 2017 will be ‘Bengaluru International Art Summit’ for art galleries and artists from all over the globe.



Kalaa Spandan is a very economical platform for artists since its beginning. It is a unique bridge between great, masters, emerging artists and art students that enlightens one and all. It will showcase here more than 1000 artworks in the form of paintings, sculptures, photographs, artifacts etc. created by various artists in oil, acrylic, water colours, mix medium bronze, fiber marble etc on a common platform to reveal realistic, semi realistic and abstract styles of the realms of life.

15 talented artists will be awarded by the honorable jury panel comprising Mr. Jahar Dasgupta (Painting), Ms. Nayana Kanodia (Painting), Padmashree Sudhakar Olwe (Photography) & Prof. Vishwanath Sable (Dean, Sir J J School of Art Mumbai) for their outstanding presentation in this show.

The various artists participating in this unique art show include – Arun Kumar Samaddar, Ankita Shah, Anup Mitra, Anuoshka Tejuja, Alex Rodrigues, Archana Tanna, Ayushi Jain, Bishwadip De, Dimple Adhia, Dr Meena Shah, Dr Sulochana Gawde, G. G. Machcha, Hazel Dsouza, Jayashree Goradia, Kalpana Dave, Kiran Sarna, Kamal Koria (UK), Mamata Rohana, Monali Dutta, Navin Joshi, Nirmala Pillai, Nicholas Stringle (UK), Nandini Verma, Purnima Dabholkar, Pravin Gangurde, Pradnya Besekar, Prof. R. C. Sharma, Ram Thorat, Raamji Sharma, Radhika Powar, Rukshana Hooda, Sayajirao Nangare, Shankarappa K, N. Sampat Kute, Saikat Bakshi, Sandeep Soni, Sabir Haque, Sayeeda Goriawala, Sharat Shaw, Shruti Shah, Shernaz Pochkhanawala, Shoma Mukherjee, Siddhartha Kanhai, Sonjaye Maurya, Sonal Pirodia, Shubhangi Khot, Subrata Modak, Sunando Basu, Suparna Jashnani, Sudha Ahuja, Subir Das, Tarushikha Nagia, Ulhas Raikar, Uma Krishnamoorthy, Vishal Ramaiya, Yoges Jadhav and many more.

Sanskriti Art Gallery of New Delhi & Bao Art Gallery of Kolkata will showcase the unique paintings of famous artists like K. Ravi, R.C. Kundu, Jogen Chawdhury, Suhas Roy etc. Soumya Art Gallery, Jaipur & Lakshya Art Gallery, Pune will display the works of various talented artists. Also, Lalitya foundation from Nagpur headed by Mr. Prasad Pimprikar will showcase vivid art works in association with Genesys School of pottery. Incidently, Lalitya foundation has been active in the various art activities to the last 7 years, such as National Art Camps, art exhibition, Kala Abhiyan in slum areas and art education workshops for the children of CSWs. Also, the notable contribution in this unique show will be Kanhai Gold Paintings by Siddhartha Kanhai from the famous Kanhai family of Contemporary Artist & expertise creation of veteran artists like Kamal Koria, R. C. Sharma, Ram Thorat & Raamji Sharma etc. Miniature artist Subir Das will present his unique art work in this show.
