LFW Winter/Festive 2015 introduces new models

New Delhi, (IANS) After a gruelling competition, the Lakmé Fashion Week has short-listed four winners for the forthcoming Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2015.

The female model auditions were held on Friday at Lakmé Absolute Salon here.

A panel of judges comprising fashion experts and exponents of the Indian fashion industry, such as model Noyonika Chatterjee and fashion designer Rohit Bal, chose four winners out of the 90 models who had participated.

Among the winners were Khushboo Kankan and Aishwarya Singh, Lucia Hrinakova and Klaudia Kovacova from Slovakia.

“Lakmé fashion week brings the nation's most coveted model auditions to Delhi for the first time. Addressing the need, we have reached out to provide a platform to aspiring runway talent in the capital,” Saket Dhankar, vice president and head - fashion, IMG Reliance, said in a statement.

Purnima Lamba, head of innovation, Lakmé, added that Lakme expanded the platform for “the first time to Delhi with model auditions”.

“We look forward to inspire new models and help them transform into the next super models of India.”

Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2015 will be held from August 26 - August 30 at Palladium Hotel, Mumbai.
