Islamabad, Nov 19 (PTI) Pakistan's top fashion model Ayyan Ali was on Thursday indicted by a court here for attempting to to fly to Dubai with more than half a million dollars in cash stashed in her luggage.

The 21-year-old model was nabbed in March at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport here with foreign currency and a case was registered against her.

She spent four months in jail pending indictment before being bailed out in July.

Ayyan pleaded not guilty when the charge was read out, according her lawyer Sardar Latif Khan Khosa.

Ayyan had filed for acquittal after she was bailed out but the special court of customs, excise and taxation dismissed it on November 6.

Then she filed acquittal plea in the Lahore High Court, which admitted it but the decision is awaited.

She was about to board a flight to Dubai when officials found USD 506,000 from her luggage, which is crime as a passenger can carry maximum USD 10,000 while flying out.
