Playing Peshwa Bajirao changed my life: Ranveer

Mumbai, (PTI) Actor Ranveer Singh has thanked director Sanjay Leela Bhansali for giving him an opportunity to play the character of Maratha warrior Peshwa Bajirao in his magnum opus "Bajirao Mastani".

The 31-year-old star says that playing the character was a life-changing experience.

"A character that changed my life forever. Thank you Sanjay Sir @deepikapadukone @priyankachopra and TeamBM Unforgettable #1YearofBajiraoMastani," Ranveer wrote on Twitter.

The film also starred Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra as Mastani and Kashibai.

Deepika, who has previously worked with Bhansali in "Ram-Leela" alongside Ranveer, also celebrated the one year anniversary of the film and thanked the director for her "most memorable role".

"Thank You for giving me one of my most challenging and memorable characters and thank YOU all #sanjayleelabhansali #ranveersingh #priyankachopra #1yearofbajiraomastani," she wrote along with a picture of herself and Bhansali holding trophies in both hands.

While, Priyanka tweeted, "Thank you for making #Kashibai such a memorable character. Love you Sanjay sir.

@deepikapadukone @RanveerOfficial #1YearofBajiraoMastani."

Ranveer and Deepika have once again collaborated with Bhansali for his upcoming film "Padmavati", which also stars Shahid Kapoor.
