According to Chandrashekar, producer of Ranna, the film will hit screens on May 7. The film was embroiled in controversy from few days due to a case being filed in city court over payment of dues by producer to a financier.

Chandrashekar said that all the legal matter has been solved and the film will be sent to censor board in a day or two. He also added that the film will be released on May 7 as scheduled.
