Organised in association with CPAA, show raised funds for cancer patients

• Ace Designers Shaina NC, Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla get celebrities to turn out in new collections

Mumbai, : Former Top Cop Julio Ribeiro and erstwhile Indian women’s cricket team captain Diana Eduljee (herself a cancer survivor) scorched the ramp in their own imperious style at the 12th annual edition of ‘Fevicol Caring with Style’ fashion show in association with the Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA) at the NSCI Club in Mumbai. Julio Rebeiro was looking dapper in an outfit by Shaina NC. Diana Eduljee who was known for her tenacity on the field took on cancer with the same determination that she was known for and today a cancer survivor; she looked ever resplendent in a Shaina NC signature saree creation.

Funds raised from the show will be donated to the Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA) towards treatment of children suffering from blood cancer. Leading fashion designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla marked their debut at ‘Fevicol Caring with Style’ this year, showcasing exquisite collections, while ace fashion designer Shaina NC presented her latest designs. Himesh Reshammiya and Lulia Vantur stunned the crowd with their scintillating performances as Lulia sang the “Mei Hoon Hero Tera” track and Himesh brought his hit songs back to life.

As part of Fevicol’s flagship campaign #JudengeLadengeJeetenge, a rallying cry for cancer patients urging people to join together and fight the disease, the fashion show was a joint initiative organised with the CPAA. Fevicol has been associated with the CPAA and provided assistance and support to the organisation for over twelve years.

The show was supported by ASK group, Club Mahindra, Forever Mark, and State Bank Of India.

Shaina NC said, “‘Fevicol Caring with Style’ is a unique initiative that reflects the spirit of uniting and fighting this deadly disease. I have been associated with this event for several years and it is extremely satisfying to see that our efforts at raising cancer awareness and funding for treatment are having an impact. It’s an honour to partner with Pidilite and the CPAA as they fight to make a difference in the lives of countless children suffering from cancer and I feel really proud to be doing my bit.”

Cancer Patients Aid Association Founder ChairmanY. K. Sapru said,“No patients should suffer or be deprived of a chance of receiving treatment due to lack of resources. Cancer incidence is on the rise and cancer treatment in India is extremely expensive. Patients of modest means and the underprivileged cannot afford treatment. We at CPAA aid needy cancer patients and give them access to treatment. Cancer is a dreadful disease but the will to live and the support of family and friends brings strength and courage to fight back. We have the power but require the funds, so let’s work together toward this noble cause.”
