Veteran singer Pankaj Udhas has lent his support to the upcoming action-emotional drama on tiger conservation, titled 'Mission Tiger'.
"I have already worked on this project with NDTV, and I had even gone to Ranthambore with Bachchan sahab besides working on two other projects. I understand that tiger conservation is very important, it is an important issue, so if a film is made on it, a good film and if it highlights this, then it is a very good initiative," Udhas said on the sidelines of the 15th Khazana Ghazal festival.
The much talked-about NDTV Aircel Save Our Tigers project, was led by megastar Amitabh Bachchan last year where Udhas had even performed to raise funds.
Not just Udhas, several other stars from the industry have also supported the cause of saving tigers as seen with the film. 'Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon' actress Elli Avram had expressed words of encouragement for the film and spoken about the importance of tigers.
Actor Tiger Shroff recently had spoken about the cause of tigers, where he said that he had adopted a tigress, who was his first girlfriend. Actress Sonakshi Sinha has also been a vocal supporter for saving tigers.
'Mission Tiger' directed by Dipu Karunakaran, starring Vijay Raaz in the lead, releases on the occasion of International Tiger Day on 29 July. The film is jointly produced by Saju Fortune and Leegesh S.L. under the banner Fortune Cinemas.
