Kamaraj's grand daughter joins DMK

Chennai, April 2 (IANS) Ahead of the upcoming assembly elections, T.S.K. Mayuri Kannan, grand daughter of late Congress leader and Tamil Nadu chief minister K. Kamaraj, along with some of her relatives joined the DMK on Saturday, the DMK said.

In a statement issued here, the DMK said Kannan met party treasurer M.K. Stalin at the party headquarters and joined the party.

Along with her, Chandra, daughter of Kamaraj's younger brother, also joined the DMK, the statement said.

Tamil Nadu goes to the polls on May 16 for the state assembly elections.
