Seven killed in Pakistan city blast

Quetta (Pakistan),(IANS) At least seven people were killed and 10 others injured in an explosion near a polio centre in Pakistan's Quetta city on Wednesday, a media report said.

The victims, most of whom are police officials, have been shifted to the civil hospital in Quetta, where an emergency has been imposed, Dawn reported.

Eyewitnesses said they heard firing after the loud blast. Police and rescue workers reached the site soon after the blast.

Security forces have cordoned off the area.
