11th annual Cultural Programme and Arasina Kumkuma Programme by The west Zone Women’s Wing of Thiya Samaja

Mumbai, Feb 15: Traditional Arasina Kumkuma Programmes help the women to grow strong and protect the culture. Arsina Kumkuma is a medium to drive away the invasion of male dominated society-said Divya R Kotian, the executive president of west zone women’s wing of Thiya Samaja.

Divya Kotian was speaking at the 11th annual arasina kumkuma, cultural programme organized by the west zone women’s wing of Thiya Samaja at the Asmitha School Auditorium, Jogeshwari (E) on Saturday evening.

Chandrashekhar R Belchada-the president of Thiya Samaja Mumbai inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp and said, -“A life with values such as spiritual and cultural make us whole. Religion is an integral part of our life and the religious rituals are needed for a good society. So improve our life style programmes like Haldi Kumkum are necessary.

As a part of programme, Gangadhar D. Kallady –the Executive President of Regional committee west zone performed Pooja rituals and blessed all. Women and children of the community presented dance and cultural programme. Sharada S. Anchan and Susheela S. Poojary, Prathima Bangera – the Executive President of cultural committee and office bearers were present as guests and distributed the prizes to the winners.

L –the Joint Treasurer, Rohidas Bangera –the Trustee, Shridhar S. Suvarna –the Editor of ThiyaBelaku the mouth piece of the institution, Sudhakar Uchil, Babu D. Bangera, Vishwanath U. K. Padmanabha A. Suvarna –the Vice Executive President of regional committee west zone, B. ChandrashekarSalian –the Honorary Secretary, Babu K. Kotian –the Joint Secretary, Prakash M. Suvarna – the Joint Treasurer, Chandra M. Suvarna –the Secretary of women, Ranjini A. Suvarna –the Treasurer, Shobhalatha Salian –the Joint Secretary, Pushpalatha Kotian – the Joint Treasurer, Babu Belchada – the Executive President of east zone, Ujwal Chandrashekar –the President of Women wing east zone and other office bearer were present.
Gangadhar D. Kalmady recited the prayer of Shri Bhagavathi and welcomed the gathering. KavithaBangera and Divija Chandrashekar compered the programme. Chandra M. Suvarna –the secretary proposed the vote of thanks.
