Mumbai, July 10: St. Peter’s Association Barkur (Mumbai), celebrated the 30th anniversary of St. Peter at St. Vincent Pallotti Church Hall, Marol Andheri (E). The Parish Priest of Pallotti church- Rev. Father Jerald D’Costa and Rev. Fr. Walter Menezesoffered thanks giving mass and blessed the parishioners.
BoniphasSequeira- president of the association in his presidency initiated the program by lighting the lamp and offered educational donations, other awards to students and congratulated them.
Hary Fernandes- Film Director, Social workers- Elizabeth Kardil, Francis Olivera, Hary Bathello-Industrialist were present as special invitees, and the president of the association honored them by offering bouquets.
At the beginning,12th annual general meeting was held in the presidency of BoniphasSequiera. Norbert Menezes - vice president, Jolvin Furtado- The Liaison Officer, Ivan Rebello- program coordinator, Joylan Fernandes- Program manager, were present on the dais. Eric Carvalho- General Secretary read over the annual report of the committee. Arthur Mendonca -joint secretary read past years’ annual report in the meeting. John Gonsalvis- treasurer briefed the accounting details. Former President Felix Barnes read over the list of committee members of the term 2017-2020.
Joseph D Almeida- The Liaison Officersang devotional songs in praise of St. Peter. Silent prayer was offered with due respect to departed members of the association and honorable members of the society.Joylan Fernandes oorganized the stage program. Evita Carvalho, Anvil Rebello, Viona Gonsalves -of youth division organized various other programs. Ozwin Rebello compiled the games. Ivan Suvares rendered the vote of thanks. The program was concluded with the National Anthem.
