15th Annual Celebration of ‘Thiya Belaku’ of the Thiya Samaj

Mumbai, Dec.26: The 15th anniversary celebration of ‘Thiya Belaku’ of Thiya Samaj was held on Sunday at Shri Narayana Guru Auditorium, Santacruz (E). On this occasion, Dr. Ankush Gujaran- Managing Director of Satyawadi Raja HarishChandra Hospital, Delhi was present as the chief guest and expressed his views.

The grand celebration was held in the presidency of Chandrashekar R. Belchada. Rohidas S. Bangera, Dr. Dayananda K. Kumbla, Nithyananda D. Kotian, Candrahas Palan, Prakash Shetty and Hon. Treasurer and the co-editor of the organization, Ramesh N. Ullal were present as honorary guests and released the ‘Thiya Belaku Annual Calendar’ and the special edition ‘Thiya Belaku’.

In the program, the guests felicitated and congratulated the former editors of the Thiya Samaj monthly magazine - Roopesh Y. Rao, Vishwanath U.K., Umesh B. Manjeshwara, Ishwar M L and Shridhar S. Suvarna and offered bouquets and mementos to them.

Sudhakara Dodda Ataar of Shri Bhagavathi Kshetra, Kudroli, Manjappa Karnavar of Bhagavathi Kshetra Ullala, Santhosh Danda Ataar of Bhagavathi Kshetra, Manjeshwara Kanila and Purushotama Gurikaara, Hemraj Karkera (Mumbai News), Ashok S. Suvarna (Mogaveera), Karunakara V. Shetty (Namma TV), Jayaraj P. Salian- proprietor of Aarati Printers were honored by the guests during this occasion.

Dr. Kumble and Chandrashekar Belchada expressed their views about the Newspaper.

On account of annual celebration, the conversation was organized in the presidency and presence of Shridhar S. Suvarna and Krishnappa Billawa on the topic ‘The present status of Press Industry’. The senior journalists of the city Dr. Ishwar Alevoor, Dayasagar Chawta, Shrinivasa Jokatte and Vaman Idya briefed and provided information about the topic. Music Concert was held in the presidency and presence of Sudhakar Uchil and Simanturu Chandrahasa Suvarna. Dr. Vani Uchilkar, Dr. Karunakara Shetty Paniyuru, Polali Mahesh Hegde, Sharada Anchan participated in the concert and presented their poetry.

Jaya P. Salian- member of the Thiya Samaj, Mohan B. M- chairman of the east zone, Babu K. Kotian- chairman of the west zone, members of the executive committee, leaders of the society and several other members were present at the occasion.

Acharapatta Gurikaara initiated the annual celebration and blessed the gathering. Shridhar S. Suvarna welcomed the gathering and delivered the introductory speech. Narayana B. Suvarna, Divya Ramachandra Kotian, Suresh Bangera honored the guests by offering bouquet. Divija Chandrashekar introduced the guests. Ishwar M.L- hon. Gen. secretary, compered the program and proposed the vote of thanks.

As a part of cultural event, dance performances and a skit were organized
