The 18th branch of Model Co-operative bank, started by the leaders from the Christian community of coastal Karnataka, “The Mangalore Catholic Co-operative Credit Society Limited”, and now it is named as 'Model Co-operative bank limited' was inaugurated on Sunday morning at Cassia J building, opposite to St. Gonsalo Garcia Church, New Barampur, Vasai(W).

Vicar General of Vasi province Rev.Fr.Nazreth Gabru conducted the holy mass and blessed. Albert W D’souza-the executive president presided over the inaugural function and Richard Palkao-the retired director of Deutsche bank was inaugurated the new branch by cutting the ribbon.

Albert W D’souza-the executive president said, “The expansion of the bank is possible by the progress of customers. Opening more and more branches is our goal. The awards are proof for our achievement. Ours is financially strong bank and now we are providing customer satisfied service through Core-banking softwear”

The founder president John D’silva expressed his views. William J Sequeira, Managing director and chief executive officer William L D’souza, directors Marita D’Mello and Ancy D’souza were present at the dais.
