Mumbai, Sept. 23:The 74th Annual general meeting of Thiya Samaja Mumbai was held after offering pooja to Kulaguru Brahmashri Narayanaguru and Kuladevathe Bhagavathi maathe on Sunday at Billawara Bhavana Mini auditorium at Santacruz East. This program was held under the presidency of Chandrashekara R. Belchada and he expressed his views on the occasion.

Rohidas S. Bangera- Chairman of the Association, Shankar C. Salian- the member of the Association, the Vice-president- Sudhakar Ucchil, the Editor of Thiya Belaku- Shridar S. Suvarna, the chairman of West Zone regional committee- Babu K. Kotian, the President of Womens wing- Latha D. Ullal, the Chairman of East zone regional committee- Mohan B. M, the President of Womens wing- Padmini K. Kotekar, Ravindra S. Manjeshwar, the former President of the Association- K. P Aravind were present on the Dais.

Ravindra S. Manjeshwar was elected as the President, Roopesh Y. Rao, Thimmappa K. Bangera, Krishna N. Ucchil, Vishwath Badduru, Vasu G. Palan, Ujwala Chandrashekara, Vrinda D. Belchada, Divya R. Kotian, these Eight people were elected as the members and Sudhakar Ucchil was elected as the chairman of West zone regional committee, Padmini K. Kotekar- the President of Womens Wing and Suresh D. Bangera was elected as the chairman of East zone regional committee and appointed Rajesh S. Suvarna as the internal chartered accountant for the period 2018-2020.

Sundar Suvarna Memorial rolling trophy sponsored by Shridhar S. Suvarna was presented to Jathin Tharnath Karkera (SSC), Kateel Rama Belchada memorial Rolling trophy sponsored by Chandrashekara Belchada was presented to Shruthi P. Ullal (HSC) and S. T Suvarna Bhandoop memorial rolling trophy sponsored by Rajesh S. Suvarna was presented to Aishwarya P. Bangera (BE Computer) along with Gold medal. Meenakshi L. Palan, Taniya V. Badooru, Pavi P. Kotian, Vibha B. Kotian, Rashmitha P. Ucchil, Neel Chethan Kumar- the children of members of the association were presented with scholarships.

The President of Thiya Samaja Mumbai- Chandrashekara R. Belchada and Divija Chandrashekar were felicitated by offering bouquets and mementos for participating in Vishwakannada Sammelana that was organized in Sheraton Auditorium America and for receiving International Man of the award from Global peace foundation organization and International Cultural fest (ICF) organization.

The members of the association, other office bearers, the members of executive committee were present on the occasion. Roopesh Y. Rao, Sagar Kateel, Baabu K. Belchada, Umesh Manjeshwar, Padmini K. Kotekar, Ramesh N. Ullal, Mohan B. M, Divija Chandrashekar expressed their views. Pavi Prakash Kotian and Vibha Balakrishna Kotian recited the prayer. The honorable treasurer- Ramesh N. Ullal presented the annual report. Ishwar M. L welcomed the gathering, presented the past annual report and vote of thanks.
