BUDGET IS LIKE A GIFT ON THE HEAD: KARNIRE VISHWANATHA SHETTY

Mumbai, March 04: The Forum of Mumbai Bunts Chartered Accountants (FMBCA) Association organized a talk on the topic – “analysis of union budget-2016” on Thursday evening at Shivaram Shetty podium of SMS auditorium at Bunts Bhavan, Kurla (E).

CA Ramesh Shetty- The executive president of the Forum, CA. Vishwanath N Shetty- Honorary secretary, S B Shetty-Honorary secretary of ABCCI, K Ramanatha Shetty-honorary treasurer, Adarsh Shetty-the president of Ahar- present at the dais. Karnire Vishwanatha Shetty inaugurated the talk by lighting the lamp.

In the talk on budget of the central government, jointly organized by Indian Bunts chamber of commerce and industry (ABCCI) and Indian Hotel and Restaurant Association (Ahaar)-CA Vimal Punmiya delivered the speech on the topic- direct taxes, Advocate Prabhakar K Shetty spoke about indirect taxes and the orator gave information about budget 2016 of the central government and informed how to tackle the present financial status and answered the questions asked by the audience.

Karinire Vishwanatha Shetty inaugurated the talk and said- “CA forum organizing this programme every year and creating awareness about the financial aspects is a matter of pride. For some people budget is like a burden and for some it is a boon, totally budget is like a gift on the head for the nation. In Mumbai more than 400 chartered accountants are there from our community and this number is rising every year”.

“Budget is a process of government and it creates a sensation in everyone. But budget is a process of managing the economic status of a nation and collecting the taxes from the public. For the government, budget is a medium of income through which the development of nation can be achieved. Through budget proper amount is invested for works like clean India campaign, rural development, production of medicine, educational facility etc”-said Punmiaya.

Prabhakar Shetty spoke about the indirect taxes and said –“For the systematic management of a business, role of a budget is vital. Budget plays a constructive role in the payment of any sort of taxes”.

Ramesh Shetty welcomed and delivered the introductory speech and by offering the bouquets he honored Vimal Punmiya and Prabhakara Shetty-the resource persons of the day.

During the occasion, Prabhakar L Shetty-the vice-president of the Bunts Sangha Mumbai, Ulthuru Mohandas Shetty-Honarary chief secretary, CA. I R Shetty-honorary treasurer, Mahesh S Shetty-joint treasurer, Prabhakar L Shetty- the vice-president of FMBCA and Bunts Sangha Mumbai, Santhosh R Shetty-honorary chief secretary of Ahaar, Shashidhar G Shetty-honarary treasurer, vice presidents- Prabhakar Shetty, K V Shetty, Karunakar Shetty, Rajan Shetty. Joint secretary –Prasad Shetty, CA Jagadish Shetty of Thane Bunts, CA.Karunakar Shetty, Girish B Salian, CA.Sadashiva B Shetty, CA.Pravin B Shetty, Rathnakar Shetty Mundkur and others were present.

Shantha P Shetty sang the prayer, CA Prabhakar Shetty introduced the guests and conducted the programme. K Ramanatha Shetty introduced the orator and proposed vote of thanks.
