Artist Jay C Salian Presented the Portrait to Dr. G N Upadhya

Mumbai, January 24: Renowned artist of the nation, Mr Jay C Salian presented the portrait of Dr. G N Upadhya drawn by him to Dr G N Upadhya – the head of Kannada Department, Mumbai University in a programme organized on Saturday at Culina campus, Santacruze (E).

Mr Surendra Kumar Hegde the president of Kannada Artist’s Parishad Maharashtra handed over the beautiful portrait to Upadhya. During the occasion, S N Udupa Jerimeri, Dr G V Kulkarni, Elluru Madhusudan Rao, Dr Poornima S Shetty were present.

Mr Jay C Salian is an M.Sc graduate and originally hailing from Seenappayya Kodi, a small village of Mulky-Pakshikere in Un-divided Udupi District. He studied diploma in Arts and he is expert in Fine art, commercial art and many other subjects. Now he is working in Mysore and he is the department head at Art, Craft and Animation section of Pawar College, Powai, Chandivili. Mr Jay C Salian is expert in Line drawing, rapid sketches, Oil, Pastoral color, Acrylic, Pencil sketches. He has sketched portraits of many great persons and has received applaud. At present he is pursuing PhD in Arts in Kannada department of Mumbai University and fulfilling is his ambition.
