Bharat Bank achieved the Topmost Position- “The Excellent Bank”

BHARAT BANK ACHIEVED THE TOPMOST POSITION - “THE EXCELLENT BANK”

Mumbai, February 19: The renowned Tulu-Kannadiga financial institution, The Bharat Co-operative Bank (Mumbai) Ltd received “The Excellent Bank award” in a contest of quality service in the sector of co-operative bank for the financial year of 2014-15. It is awarded annually by The Maharashtra State Co-operative Bank’s Association Ltd Mumbai (Maharashtra State co-operative banking board Ltd.,).

Hundreds of banks which had the deposits more than 14,500 crore participated in this contest. Bharat bank has been selected for “Excellent bank award” by the juries. Bharat Bank was honored with this award during the 20th annual award distribution ceremony of the association.

The 20th Annual award distribution function was held on Thursday, at Swathantrya Veer Sawarkar Rashtriya Smarak auditorium at Shivaji Park, Dadar (W). N S Vishwanath-the executive-director of Reserve Bank of India was present as the chief guest. Dr.Mukund Abhyankar-the president of NABARD,New-delhi was present as honorary guest, Vishwas J Takur –the executive president of the association and other office bearers conferred the award to Jaya C Suvarna-the executive president and C R Mulky-the managing director of Bharat bank.

During the award ceremony, Vikas Balachandra Sawanth-the vice-president of the association, Swathi Pande-CEO, Dr.Shashi B Ahire, Dr.Vinayak Yashwanth Tharale, Madhukar Rao V Javanjal and other conveners and Advocate Rohini J Salian-the vice executive president, directors-K N Suvarna, J A Kotian, U S Poojary, Jyothi K Suvarna, Chandrashekar S Poojary, Advocate S B Amin, Damodar C Kundar, R D Poojary, Ashok M Kotian, Gangadhar J Poojary, Suryakanth J Suvarna, General Manager-Anil Kumar R Amin, Senior Manager Shoba Dayanand, Nithyanand D Kotian, Development board chief-Mohandas Hejmady(DGM), Advocate-Shashidhar Kaup, Jagannath Amin and others were present and celebrated their delight by distributing the sweets.

“The responsive attitude towards the requirements of small and large scale industry, financial needs of industrialists, compliance of RBI guidelines is the reasons behind the success of the bank. The bank is focusing on the overall changes in the financial development. Implementing modern technology, discipline in employees, dignified business skill, satisfied customers, and quick service, timely financial support led the bank to achieve this award. We gave much importance to healthy competition between us rather than with other banks. Such kind of achievements are noted by the association and allowed us to grab the first place in the co-operative sector.”-Jaya Suvarna shared his views after receiving the award.

“This is an honor for the selfless service. This award is for the excellent service we offer to our customers”-Advocate Rohini Salian expressed her views.

Out of total of 87 branches, Bharat Bank owns 66 branches in Maharashtra, 18 branches in Karnataka and 3 branches in Gujarat. The overall business exceeds more than 14,500 crore rupees. Now the bank owned the licence for 14 more branches. Before September, 2016 we will open 14 branches. This award has made us proud. This award is the honor to every director, shareholder, customer, well-wishers, officers and employees of this bank”- C R Mulky- CEO and managing director expressed his happiness.
