“Social awareness is present in Jokattes’s work”: Mundkuru Surendra Salian
Mumbai, April 04: ‘Aparichitha Vasthava’ and ‘Hima varsha’, the 25th and 26th books of Shrinivasa Jokatte, the journalist of Mumbai, were released on Sunday at Mysore Association Auditorium, Bhaudaji Road, Matunga (E). The former president of Karnataka Sangha, Goregaon and Editor of “Saaphalya” Mundkur Surendra Salian released the books.
Mr Chandrashekar Palethady, the president of the Kannadiga Journalists Association, Maharashtra presided over the function. The famous poet and artist Natesh Polepalli Ahorathra was present as the chief guest, Vikranth Urval - the director of IITC and Jayalkhsmi Jokatte were present as the honorary guests.
Mundkur Surendra Salian said “Mr. Jokatte is a good hearted journalist and from the past 35 years he has been in the field of writing. His writings are in very simple language and this is a great thing. His writings are different and positive and filled with social awareness”.
Manjunathayya and Harish K Hejmady expressed their views about the books. Shrinivasa Jokatte welcomed and expressed his thanks to all the guests for their presence. Nikhitha Sadananda Amin recited the prayer. Shrinivasa Jokatte couple honored the guests with bouquet. Drama Director and poet Sa.Daya introduced the guests, compered the programme and proposed vote of thanks.
