Archbishop of Edmonton in Alberta province of Canada inaugurated Karnataka Goa province spirituality centre in Edmonton today; another big day for Carmelites
Over 300 people attended for the inauguration of Mount Carmel Spirituality Centre. The most Rev Gregory J Bittman, Auxiliary Bishop of Edmonton, presided at the Solemn Eucharistic celebration on July 20, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at 1225 Township Road 535, Parkland County, Alberta. There was grand reception after Mass.
The solemn eucharistic celebrated in the presence of regional superior, Fr. Rev. Fr. Rudolf D’Souza, OCD, superior, Rev. Fr. Mario Fernandes, OCD and many other OCD and other priests from Canada region.
The Mount Carmel Spirituality formally known as Ephphatha House run by Rev Fr. Raymond F. Gulmond.He is co-founder and spiritual director of Ephphatha House - a Prayer and Retreat Centre devoted to the Divine Mercy and Consecrated to Our Lady.Also spiritual director for several prayer groups and numerous individuals.
Ephphatha House started 28 years back as a project of the Community of the Presentation and has come to be known primarily for its promotion of the truths of the Catholic faith.It is a house of prayer, a retreat house, a gathering place for groups of all types seeking faith-centered activities and an atmosphere of devotion to the Lord.
Regional Superior, Fr. Rudy, OCD promised fidelity and obedience to the Archbishop and Auxiliary Bishop of Edmonton. Further, he promised Mount Carmel Spirituality would run under Christian and Carmelite Spirituality that would build help to build Christian values.
