Couple step together to heaven

Mumbai, May 28: This is the story of Jayarama P. Shetty (60) from Panja Nalyaguthu and Shobha J. Shetty (54) from Thardolya, Mangalore Jeppu who stepped together in life and beyond.

 

Mr. Jayaram Shetty,the owner of Amrith Bar and Restaurant of Kurla road, near Jerimeri, passed away on 24th May, Tuesday night at Criticare hospital, Andheri (E) due to kidney failure. Next day morning, friends and relatives shifted the body to the residence Leoland at Thungagaon, Povai and were preparing for the funeral. At the same time, wife of the deceased Mrs. Shobha, collapsed and passed away due to severe heart-attack.

They had started their married life on 23 June 1983 at King George Hall,Dadar and celebrated the silver jubilee of their wedding in 2008 at Happysing Hotel, Sakinaka. The couple who lived together for 33 yearswent on to walk together in death too.

The deceased is survived by a son, daughter and manyfriends and relatives. The funeral was held on the same day (Wednesday) evening at Sagbhag cemetery, Sakinaka. Hundreds of people participated in the funeral and paid their tributes.
