COMMEMORATION OF BENEDICT REBELLO – JERRY NITE MUSIC CONCERT BY JERRY BAJJODI GROUP

Mumbai, Apr. 03: Maharashtra Konkan association celebrated the Easter Sunday on April 1st at the garden lawn of Vincent D’ Palotti church in Marol Vijayanagar, Andheri East.Commemoration of late Benedict Rebello and 3rd Jerry Nite music concert program was organized. The Chief Priest of Vincent D’ Palotti Church- Fr Charles Fernandes was present as a chief guest and rendered his Easter message.

The President of Konkani Bhasha Mandal, Maharashtra- John D’ Silva, the Editor of Divo weekly magazine- Lawrence Coelho, the Film Director Harry Fernandes Barkur, the entrepreneurs- Rony Goveas, Denis Lobo, John Rebello Sion, Oswald Cordeiro and the association president Benedict B. Rebello were present on the dais as the guests of honor.

Benedict Pascal Rebello who passed away recently was the member of Maharashtra Konkan association. He was remembered on this occasion. The Vice-president of the association- Walter D’ Souza Kalmady (Jerimeri), active member of the association- John Vagus and the child artist- Laveena D’ Souza were all felicitated on this occasion. The Lilly Goveas charitable trust, the parent organization of Home for the aged, planned in murbadgaon by Kalyan Goveas family members under the leadership of Rony Goveas was inaugurated by the guests of honor. At this moment, Herald Goveas, Hubert Goveas, H. A Goveas and Lora Goveas were all present on the dais.

The Honorary secretary of the association- Gregory Monis, the joint secretary- Prithesh Castelino, the joint treasurer- Aida Lobo, the past zonal president- Vincent Castelino, the former president- Cyril Castelino, Rocky D’ Cunha, Stany Dais, Gregory Niddodi and others were present.

The women’s wing of Konkani Group, Amboli presented the welcome dance. The founder president of the association- Leo Fernandes Jerimeri welcomed the gathering and commemorated the services rendered by Late Benedict Pascal Rebello. The members of the association honored the guests by offering bouquets. Suzan L. Coelho and Flora D’ Souza Kalmady read the rewardees citation letter. Steven Lobo introduced the guests and compered the program.

Jerry D’ Souza, Antony Tauro, Jerry Bondel, Joyston, Judi Jerimeri, Manuel Fernandes, Shalet Castelino, Viran Veigas, Roshni Crasta, Bellita, Avin D’ Costa, Levin Leo Fernandes and other singers sang the Konkani songs. Raja Rajendra group presented the melodious music. Floyd D’ Souza compered the entertainment programs like Music, Farce, Dance etc.
