Former Deputy Chairman of Bharat Bank Innabailumane Yajamana V. R Kotian No More

Mumbai (RBI), Nov.08: Former Chairman and Vice Chairman of The Bharat Co.Operative Bank (Mumbai) Limited, Present Director, Former Vice President of the Billawar Association Mumbai, Honorary President of the Mumbai Committee of the Hejmady Billawar Sangha (R.) Innabailumane Yajamana Vasudeva R.Kotian (72.) passed away at Global Hospital, Parel in the early hours on Tuesday morning after a brief illness.

He has famously known in Hejmady of the undivided Dakshina Kannada district has V.R, studied law in Mumbai as a graduate of Vijaya College and currently serves as a consultant for the Mumbai unit of Vijaya College Mulki. He has been a director of Bharat Bank for nearly three decades since 1991, running a tax consultancy called Kotian & Associates, and has served as Deputy Chairman for eight years in between.

He has served as Honorary Treasurer, Vice President of Billawar Association Mumbai, He has been active in the renovation work of Hejmady Billawar Guru Mandir and Baidarkala Garadi and has worked as the principal of the association and has donated the auditorium in his name to Hejmady Billawara.

Devoted himself fully to the day-to-day social life, V.R was a compassionate humanitarian with people's concern. Acquainted with hundreds of specialists of renowned hospitals in the city, he treated hundreds of people at discounted rates, provided huge discounts and medical facilities on expensive charges and was always engaged in the field of care. He recognized the educational privilege of the poor and innocent students, helped the widows, and was a donor through charity. He was a disciplined soldier throughout his life and had a unique way of life.

V.R left behind his wife (Mohini V. Kotian), two daughters Nisha Suvarna, Deepika Suvarna Sons-in-law CA. Sachin Suvarna Dubai, Karnal LakshiSh Suvarna Srinagar (Kashmir) and three grandchildren and a large family.

Poojary Goregoan, Rama G. Suvarna, Harishchandra Mulki, Adv. Raja V.Salian, M.N.Karkera and other dignitaries expressed deep condolences and requested tributes.
