“A great co-operative bank of India”- Vinaya Kumar Sorake

Mumbai, August 22: “Today is the historical day for Billawas and Bharat Bank. This day is to be written in golden letters. By opening the 100th branch in a span of 40 years, this bank has become a pride of co-operative sector and a symbol of our self-respect. This bank has served honestly for the welfare of people and rural development of Karnataka, Maharashtra and Gujarath. This is the great co-operative bank of India” said Vinaya Kumar Sorake-Former MP and MLA of Kaup constituency.

Mr.Sorake said these words on the 38th Founders day and 100thbranch celebration function of Bharat Co-operative bank (Mumbai) Ltd., held on Sunday at Yogi Auditoirium of Swami Narayana Mandir at Dadar (E).

The Executive president of Bharat Bank and the president of RashtriyaBillawaMahamandala-Mr. Jaya Suvarna inaugurated and presided over the function by lighting the lamp. Gopala C Shetty, Nithyananda D Kotian, Advocate Rohini J Salian and C R Mulky were present at the dais.

“This is my good fortune, that I have inaugurated the 100th branch of this bank. Bharat bank has obtained 15 crores of business and this shows the efficiency of this bank. The service aspect of this bank is the role model for our nation” –said Gopala C Shetty.

As a part of cultural programme Ms. Aishwarya Mohandas Hejmady performed the “Shivashtakam” dance. The members of Welfare club exhibited the “Gondhal”, “Gharba” and “Kathakkali” dance forms. Jingle Tune group performd the comedy skit. With the joint association of Officers Association, Employees Union of Bharat Bank and Sevadal the programme was celebrated grandly and concluded with National Anthem.
