July 08: The 86th Annual General Meeting of Billavara Association Mumbai

Mumbai, June. 28: The 86th Annual general meeting of Billava association Mumbai will be held on July 8th at 10.00am at Billava Bhavana in Santacruz East. This program will be held under the presidency of Nithyananda D. Kotian.

The letter of understanding of the meeting, past annual report and balance sheet report audited by the chartered accountants has already been sent to the members through post. Members who are interested to render their service for the next three years are informed to take nomination letter from the Head office and return it before 02.07.2018.

Billava Association Mumbai has been involving themselves in Social, Educational, Financial, Cultural and Religious field in the past 86 years and conducting various programs. They are giving more importance to education and encouraging the students by providing Scholarship, Financial assistance and adopting the students through ‘Amrutha Vidhyanidhi’ program. It has also been presenting the Yakshagana Kala award, Guru Narayana Literary awards. In the year 2017-18 they organized the program called ‘Olume’ which united the women of Kannada Social Associations and it was being appreciated by everyone. The association is progressing under the guidance of Jaya Suvarna.

This association has 22 local offices, out of which 19 have own offices. Offices at Kandivili and Mulund have purchased own offices this year. The construction of ‘Gurumandira’ and community centre at Navi Mumbai is in progress. Offices have been set in many other places to help the community people and now after completing 86 fruitful years the association is heading towards centenary.

The various copies of annual reports sent to the members were not delivered and sent back to the head office for some reasons. If concerned members have changed their address please inform to the head office or nearby office through letter and they are requested to register their recent address. The honourable chief secretary of the association- Dharmapal G. Anchan has requested the members to be present in the annual meeting in large numbers and cooperate with them.
