EDUCATION IS A WAY TO GAIN KNOWLEDGE: HARY CUTINHO
Mumbai, June 07: The Konkani Catholic Association Nallasopara (KCA) institution organized a programme - annual distribution of the educational materials to the financially backward students on Sunday at KCA auditorium, Nallasopara (E).
The programme was held in the president ship of Hary B Cutinho, the president of KCAN. The educational materials given by the KCA institution were distributed to the students.
In his presidential address Hary B Cutinho said, “The aim of aspiring education should not only be limited to achievements but it should be used to gain knowledge and to lead a cultured life. The overall development of the students is possible only by this kind of education. The children should give importance to the education which helps them to lead a life they want to have and not a life their parents want them to have. Children should develop the social and leadership skills during their school days. “
This year also writing books, uniform and other educational materials were distributed to the local poor children. The members of the KCA executive committee – Lily Quadros, Hilda Dsouza, Lavina Dias, Dyna Moraes, Romeo Castelino and others were present.
Vice president Gracy Pinto welcomed all. The members of the executive committee Richard Pinto and Ronald Pais read out the list of beneficiaries. Alwyn F Dsouza Mudarangadi-the treasurer presented the programme. The secretary Claud D’silva proposed the vote of thanks.
