Karnataka Sangha Mumbai Completes 84th Annual General Meeting

KANNADIGAS HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN THEIR CULTURE LIVING IN MUMBAI – M.M.KORI

Mumbai, June.25: The 84th Annual general meeting of Karnataka Sangha Mumbai was held on Sunday at Samarasa Bhavana Auditorium, Mahim West. The program was held under the presidency of Manohar M. Kori- the president of Karnataka Sangha Mumbai. He addressed the gathering by his presidential speech and expressed his views.

Dr. Ishwar Alevoor- the vice-president of Karnataka Sangha, the honourable secretary- Dr Bharath Kumar Polipu, the treasurer- Justice M.D Rao, the joint secretary- Amaresh C. Patel, the honourable joint secretary- Dinesh A. Kamath, the convener of Kalabharathi- Dr S. K Bhavani, the editor of Sambanda monthly - Srinivas Jokatte, the members of executive committee- B.G Nayak, Dr G. P Kusuma, N. M Gudi, Lalitha P. Angadi, Sudhakar Palan, Dr Mamatha T. Rao, Durgappa A. Kotiyavar, Susheela S. Devadiga were present on the dais.

The treasurer- Justice M. D Rao presented the Annual Report. Dr Bharath Kumar Polipu, Omdas Kanangar, Rajeeva Naik, Durgappa A. Kotiyavar were elected as the members of executive committee for the year 2018-21. G. T Acharya who was the electoral officer of the committee presented the lists of elected members. S. R Ramanna, Sadananda Amin, Sudhakar Maindan were selected as the next electoral officers.

Dr B. R Manjunath, H. B. L Rao, Surendra Kumar Hegde, Justice Vasantha Kalakoti, K. Manjunathayya, Shekar Amin, S. Daya, Mohan Marnad, Jayasheel Suvarna expressed their views on behalf of the audience.

Silent prayer was offered at the beginning of the meeting for the departed members, well wishers and writes in the past year. The former secretary of the committee- Omdas Kanangar presented the information regarding the development and achievements of the Committee. Dr Bharath Kumar Polipu welcomed the gathering and presented the past year activities and the past annual report and later conducted the proceedings of the meeting and expressed his gratitude.
