Kaykini’s Friendship is the Inspiration for writing: Dr. Vyasaraya Ninjoor

‘KATHAVARANA’ BOOK RELEASE AT MYSORE ASSOCIATION

Mumbai, Jan. 20: “The moments spent with Kaikini and friendship between us is the inspiration to my writing”-said Dr. Vyasaraya Ninjur – the senior journalist, scientist and editor of “gokula” monthly magazine.

The famous writer, critic, women’s co-ordinator Dr. Mamatha Rao, released the book “Kathavarana” written by Jayanth Kaikini. The book releasing function was held on Sunday morning, in joint association of Kannada department of Mumbai university, Mysore Association and Institutions of Mumbai at Mysore Association auditorium in Bhaudaji Road at Matunga(E). The president of Mysore Association- K Kamala presided over the function. Dr Nijnjur explained how small things of everyday life can inspire us to write.

 

“We should lead the life with open eyes and write with eyes closed. Literature will develop a constant thinking. We have two types of histories-one is literature and other one is history of human being. Here what I like is history of human being. It includes emotions and daily experiences of human beings. We should rely on literature to keep away negativity.”-said renowned writer Dr.Jayanth Kaikini.
Dr. G. N. Upadhya – the head of Kannada Department of Mumbai University delivered introductory speech and expressed his views about Dr.Jayanth Kaikini.

Dr. B. R. Manjunath, K. Manjunathaiah, Nithyananda D. Kotian, Ratnakara R. Shetty, Dr. Vani Uchilkar, Dr.Mitra Venkatraj, Dr. Ishwar Alevoor and others were present. Padmanabha Siddakatte recited the prayer. Dr.Jyothi Satish Yarmal and Dr Mamatha Rao delivered the message. Rama Udupa – the Research Assistant of Kannada Department explained about the book. Dr.Poornima Sudhakar Shetty welcomed all and conducted the event. Naryana Navilekar proposed vote of thanks.
