Mumbai: Monti fest celebrated by Konkani Catholic Welfare Association, Bhayandar on Sunday 11th September, 2016 at Our Lady of Nazareth Church Hall, Bhayandar West, at 8.30 a.m. Celebration began with offering flowers near the Decorative Statue and Konkani mass celebrated Rev. Fr. Anthony Banz, assistant priest of OLN Church, Bhayandar west.

Snacks and tea was served to all present. A variety of Konkani entertainment program were held. It started with a welcome dance by Ms. Lenisha Pereira, followed by, Konkani skits and songs. KCWA also felicitated the konkani speaking families students who secured 85% and above in S.S.C. March 2016 Exam.

The function was compared by Mr. George Sequeira beautifully. Under the leadership of Mr. George Sequeira, President of KCWA the celebration was a great success. More than 200 people participated in the function.

At the end all people present enjoyed traditional “NovemJevoan” and people left the venue recollecting sweet memories of their native place.  George Sequeira
