Scincilating Performance by Ocean Kids Academy during Season ‘Season 5 Xtravaganza 2017’

Ocean Kids Dance, Music & Art Academy one of the well-known professional Institute existing in UAE for the past 6 years concluded their annual event ‘Season 5 Xtravaganza 2017’ on Friday the 9th June, 2017 at Horizon International School Auditorium with full house audience who enjoyed the event thoroughly from 3.45 pm till 9.45 pm in the late evening.

Shodhan Prasad welcomed the audience and briefed on the achievements of Ocean Kids Academy while the slide presentation was displayed on the LED Screen showing the glimpses of the past. Later he invited and introduced Merlin Dominic the Managing Director of Ocean Kids Dance & Music Academy who rendered the welcome speech. She gracefully briefed on all the activities of the Institute mentioning the creators, mentors, teachers and the faculty who have contributed to the growth of the Institute all these years. She thanked all those responsible members, Sponsors and the parents of the students who have supported in the achievements of the Institute as well as the various activities of the Institute, be it Summer Camp, Winter Camp or Spring Camp.

The programme was inaugurated with the traditional lighting of the lamp by special invitee Manjula Pai, Sponsors Nithyanand Beskoor representing Land Trades, Rakshith Suvarna of Puravankara, MD Merlin Dominic, MD Crispin Dominic of Action Filmz, Shodhan Prasad & Manager Zuber Khan Kudla from Ocean Kids. On behalf of all the Guests, Nithyanand Beskoor spoke few words of inspiration and wishes Ocean Kids on their annual event. All the Guests were welcomed and honoured with flower bouquet and mementos.

Later was Welcome Dance – a beautiful traditional Bharatanatyam act by V. Shalini who just joined as Dance Instructor and who presented a classical dance performance which was well applauded by whole audience.

Shodhan then invited and introduced Actress Priya Menzes who later shouldered the whole event as Master of Ceremony with her ever-glowing smiley presentation introducing each and every act of the students of Ocean Kids from Music to Dance professionally and conducting spot games in between. Shodhan Prasad seconded her with few fillers with his adorable ‘Shayeri’ rendering in Hindi & English in between to keep the audience entertained and engaged throughout.

It started with the Musical presentation with Techno Style, Rock Style, Sri Lankan Filmy, French Pop, Rock Style, Classical, Western, Spanish, Bollywood, Tamil Filmy, and Hindi Filmy songs beautifully presented by students of Ocean Kids with the guidance of Instructors Patrick Pereira, Thushara, Kevin Rebello, Umesh, Anthony & Guest Ruwanthi Thushara. Lambada, Abba, Mama Mia, Senorita, Hotel California, Vassegara, Suno Na Sange Marmar, Retro Songs and Solo Instrumentals were some of the numbers played.

Continued with various dances were some of the top classical and Bollywood dance numbers well-choreographed by Instructors Praveen, Yogesh & Umesh presented by the students of Ocean Kids. Jai Deva, Waka Waka, Tamma Tamma, Cham Cham, High Hill, India Wale, Cutie Pie, Maula Meri, Hanuman Chalisa, Hip-hop mix, Diwani Mastani, Aaja Nachle, Badri ki Dulhaniya, Humma Humma, Break Up Dance, Sau Ta Rake & Retro dance were some of the beautifully choreographed dances presented well applauded by the audience throughout. India Wale dance got a standing ovation and the contemporary blind theme ‘Maula Meri’ also got good appreciation well-choreographed by Umesh & Praveen. Props are well made by Ocean Kids very own Teachers. Costumes with quality and grace were made by Mallesh which made the performances more stunning and spectacular.

The professional Team presented electrifying dance number hip-hop mix beautifully choreographed by Praveen was extraordinary. The professional team are those who are performing in Events, marriage parties & various stage shows across UAE.

In between Ocean Kids presented Achievers Awards to those students who have excelled in their academic years both in Music & Dances. They were Brent D’Souza, Ameya Mallya, Anusha Hariharan, Sara Behera, Sanoja Pai, Shannon Vachan, Levin Veeroy Fernandes who have successfully passed Grade 2 Theory & Practical Exams with good scores (100/100) and who also were winners of various competitions held elsewhere in Dubai. Additionally Ocean Kids honoured Junior Advance Dance Group comprising of Adithya Mallya, Chaitanya Sao, Saurav Sunil, Riddhi Kapadia & Nicole Rosario who were the 1st Runner up in Indian Fest Dance Competition held at Al Qasba, Sharjah, 1st Runner up in Short & Sweet Bollywood Dance Competition & also the best performers at Kempegowda International Festival held recently.

Later all the Instructors/Teachers & Staff of Ocean Kids Dance & Music Academy were invited on the stage and honoured. Teachers consist of Zuber, Harish, Praveen, Umesh, Yogesh, Patrick, Anthony, Thushara and newly joined music teacher, Kevin Rebello, Admin consist of Sheila and Danica and Transport Department with great support consist of Arun & Mannan. Each and every one were specially appreciated for their contribution to the organization. Crispin Dominic of Ocean Kids & Action Filmz did the honours and praised on the past achievements of his Team Mates. He later concluded the vote of thanks for the sponsors, Horizon School Team, Professional group, Volunteers specially to Ofilia Moras and Saraswati Pai for being with Ocean Kids in all annual event, Parents, Kids, Mallesh (responsible in costume tailoring) and special guests.

Under the guidance of Art Instructors, Zuber Khan Kudla & Harish Marne ‘Art Exhibition’ was arranged at the entrance of the venue wherein various special art exhibits were artistically portrayed which were done by Ocean Kids Art Students and art instructors.

Ocean Kids also launched their new website www.oceankidsdubai.com and also launched the Summer Camp 2017 wherein the students can log in and register quickly.

In between the programme the MC’s invited live opinions from the audience wherein many audiences expressed their happiness whole heartedly and congratulated the management of Ocean Kids.

Food counters arranged by Mini Punjab served some of the sumptuous savory of Indian delicacies throughout the evening.

Raffle draw was conducted and the winner walked away with the prize sponsored by Crispin Dominic.

Broadway Events provided good uninterrupted sound and lights with LED screen while Rose Studios arranged the Video and photography.

The programme concluded with extravanganza Grand Finale beautifully choreographed and presented in a professional way which was well applauded by the whole audience. It was a great event from Ocean Kids Dance, Music & Art Academy wherein the whole audience in the conclusion part danced all the way to the tune of mix bhaila and live bhangra drums tirelessly enjoying every bit of it.
