Shri Sathyanarayana Mahapooja during the Inauguration of shifted Bandra (E) Branch of Bharat Co-op Bank

Mumbai, March 19: The Bharat Co-operative bank (Mumbai) Ltd., which has won the “Excellent bank award” winner, from The Maharashtra State co-operative banks association in the field of co-operative banking sector for its quality service held the inauguration of its shifted Bandra (E) branch at Sindhurathna Co-operative Society Ltd building near Gurunanak Hospital on Friday morning.

The president of Rashtriya Billawara Maha Mandala and Executive president of Bharat Bank Jaya C Suvarna inaugurated the branch. Shrikanth Sharmalkar-MLA inaugurated the branch by lighting the lamp. Vice executive president Advocate Rohini J Salian started the ATM service, director Pushpalatha N Salian inaugurated the safe locker services and wished good luck.

During the occasion, the former directors-L V Amin, N M Sanil, industrialist Pushparaj Shetty, Danny Karnelio, CA. Ashwajith Hejmady, Hari Shastri, Vasanth Shetty, Kiran R Bangera, Jagannath Shastri, Keshav Bangera, Suresh Narang, Dr.Royan, Muralidhar M Kamath, Nikunj Vyas, Devendra Bangera, Narendranath Shetty, Directors-Bhaskar M Salian, Rohith M Suvarna, Harishchandra G Mulky, Damodar C Kundar, R D Poojary, Gangadhar J Poojary, Suryakanth J Suvarna, share holders, customers and well-wishers were present and wished good luck.

The General Manager- Anil Kumar R Amin, Shobha Dayanand Nithyananda D Kotian, Vice-general Managers-Vivek S Shanubhag, Suresh S Salian, Dinesh B Salian, V S Shanubhag, Navinchandra S Bangera, Asst.General Managers-Vasudeva M Salian, Mahesh B Kotian, Dayananda R Amin, Development board chief officers-Sunil Gujaran, Vijay Palan, secretary of the Bharath Bank employees union-Dinesh K sanil and others were present.

Ulluru Dhananjaya Shanthi and Shekar Shanthi conducted the Vasthu pooja, Ganahoma, Sathyanarayana pooja and Dwarapooja, Gangadhara Kallady distributed the theertha-prasadam. Officers-Sumithra Jayaram Saphaliga and Rukmaya G Poojary lead the pooja rituals. During the occasion-bank chief Sudha S Poojary, Asst.manager Deeresh Y Amin, Sneha a Kulai, Shrinith S Amin, Prathiksha Poojary, Prashanth V Poojary, Vidya Poojary, Ashwith Y Hejmady were honored with bouquets by director.

“On this same day, i.e on March 18 of 1996 this branch was opend as the 13th branch of Bharat Bank. Today this Bhandra (E) branch is going to complete its twenty years’ service with modern technology and this is a proof of the bank’s excellence. Today this bank is actively functioning by achieveing more than Rs. 8859.56 of fixed deposit, approximately Rs. 5928.17 crore of loan and advance deposit, Rs. 3271.72 crore of investment funding”- said CEO and Administrative director C R Mulky after inaugurating the computerised service.

The development board chief-Mohandas Hejmady (DGM) conducted the programme and said-“Within the month of September, the bank will open 14 more new branches. The RBI has given permission to open five more branches and one extended branch in the calender year of 2016-17. The Bharat Bank will celebrate Founders day on 21st August of 2016 on a grand scale and it intends to open the 100th branch of Khar(W) on the same day”. Sudha S Poojary welcomed all. Diresh Y Amin proposed vote of thanks.
