THE CLOSING CEREMONY OF THE ANNUAL SPORTS MEET ‘KOTI CHENNAYA’ OF THE BILLAWA ASSOCIATION

Mumbai, Dec.28: The annual sports meet ‘Koti-Chennaya’ 2017 was organized by the Yuvabhyudaya committee of Billawa Association. In the closing ceremony of the sports meet, Shashidhar B. Shetty- president of the Tulu committee, Baroda was present as the chief guest and expressed his views.

The program was held at University sports ground, Marine Lines, Mumbai in the presidency of Nithyananda D. Kotian and in the presence of Jaya C. Suvarna- executive president of The Bharath Bank. During the occasion, Justice Rohini G. Salian- vice president of the Bharath Bank, Vasu V. Suvarna- hon. Gen. secretary of Gujarat Billawa Association, Vishwanatha G. Poojary- president of Gujarat Billawa Association, Surat unit, Uday Shetty Muniyal - social worker, N.T. Poojary- president of Billawa Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Mahendra Sooru Karkera- vice president of AHAR zone-1, Ramanath Pai- social worker were present as the honorary guests and the vice presidents of the association- Raja V. Salian, Bhaskara V. Bangera, Shankara D. Poojary, Dr. U. Dhananjaya Kumar were present on the dais and handed over the trophies to the winners and congratulated them.

Uday Shetty, Vishwanath Surat, Jaya Suvarna, Nithyananda Kotian, expressed their views in the occasion.

Jaya Suvarna honored the promoters of the sports meet, sponsors, Deepak Kotian Inna, Harish Sooru Poojary Wadala, Dayananda Kumar and Shobha Dayananda, Ravi S. Salian- organizer of sports meet, Kusha R. Sanil, Kum. Rikitha R. Sanil and others also were offered mementos.

Mahesh C. Karkala- hon. Gen. treasurer, Shakuntala K. Kotian- president of women wing, director of the Bharath Bank- U.S. Poojary, Bhaskar M. Salian, K. B. Poojary, Gangadhar J. Poojary, Sooryakanth J. Suvarna, Bhaskar T. Poojary- manager of the association, Shrinivasa R. Karkera, heads of the local committee were present at the program and distributed the prizes to the winners and congratulated them.

Dayanand Kumar and team managed the competitions. Anusha Poojary Goregaon, Kum. Rikitha R. Sanil, Shwetha Suvarna, Anusha Poojary Vikhroli handled the sports commentary. Nilesh Poojary Palimar of Yuvabhyudaya Committee welcomed the gathering. Dharmapala G. Anchan- hon. Gen. secretary of the association introduced the guests and compered the program. Umesh N. Kotian- hon secretary of Yuvabhyudaya proposed the vote of thanks.

Ganesh K. Poojary- army officer, hon. joint secretaries- Harish G. Salian, Premanatha P. Kotian, Ashalatha Kotian, hon. joint treasurers- Rajesh J. Bangera, Sadashiva A. Karkera, Nagesh M. Kotian, Rajith L. Suvarna, Ashok Kukyan, Nagesh S. Kotian, Akshay Poojary, Ganesh H. Anchan, and others helped in the success of the event. The 2017 Annual ‘Koti- Chennaya’ Championship Winner Trophy was bagged by Vasai Committee and the Borivali Committee bagged the runner-up position. Annual sports meet concluded with the National Anthem.
