Mumbai, Mar,22: The N.S.S Unit of SVKM's Dwarkadas J. Sanghvi College of Engineering, Vile Parle West, Mumbai organized a two-day event in support of 'SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN', a dream vision of our honorable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi on last two days at Andheri Railway Station. During the event, volunteers cleaned and beautified the  heavily crowded Andheri Railway Station.

In line with the theme 'Essence of Mumbai', volunteers painted sketches of People, Skyline, Food and Transport of Mumbai giving different social messages. There was a picture dedicated to bollywood too. It took more than 20 long hours for around 50 volunteers to cover 422 Sq.ft. These paintings were widely appreciated by the commuters at Andheri Station. Few of them, also tried their painting skills in pursuit to extend a helping hand to the cause. It was nice to hear encouraging words from busy Mumbaites!

We are thankful to our Principal, Dr.Hari Vasudevan, Shri Chandrashekhar Beral (Programme Officer) and all the concerned Railway Authorities specially Shri Sagar Kulkarni (Station Manager, Andheri) for providing a real life canvas to highlight social causes. All NSS volunteers also deserve a special mention for their selfless contribution.

We hope these paintings will add to the beauty of the newly renovated Andheri Station and make people think twice before ruining the beauty of the area again!!
